May

A wee bit late, but as usual I have been terrible about posting.
Over the may long weekend, while Adam was away on a stag, I took the kids up to the river to camp with my parents. As always, the kids had a wonderful time and for the first time Lexy joined us.

The kids still love their atv's. They spend hours booting around, exploring and testing their limits!

Of course, like most of us when we go camping, eating is a favorite pass time! I love how Ty just makes himself comfortable and puts his feet up on Nahla's chair!
Perhaps our greatest success on this trip was Lexy. She is not an of leash dog as she likes to run, but she was of leash the entire weekend. She explored the first, the water and school of the people and dogs. It took a full 24 hours but we finally tired her out enough for her to lay down!
Nahla found a friend in a ten month old, and took great pleasure in holding her hand to help get walk.
A favorite pass time for the kids was definitely the opportunity to try gold panning with Papa. Nahla still looks for rocks every where she goes to see if they have gold in them.
We were fortunate enough this time to be able to stay in a cabin so that I didn't have to sleep on the hard ground... Does that mean I am getting old? The kids loved their little bed and sleeping bags. They even slept well!
One of my favorite parts of camping is watching the kids explore their environment to find things to play with. They found a stump and a stick and created their own teeter totter. Amazingly it actually worked for a few teeters and Totters before it broke too?

Overall we had a great trip and the weather cooperated for us. A lot more happened in may, but this was our highlight and the only thing I actually took photos of, but Summer is coming!!
